These are some albums i've listened to recently:

Tacoma Radar - No One Waved Goodbye (2004)
-Fav Song: Who's Gonna Hold The Line?
-Genre: Slowcore
-1st Listen: 02/21/26
-Punches above the rest in a broadly gloomy genre by exploring a broader emotional spectrum both lyrically and sonically. 8/10

Sunday's Best - The Californian (2002)
-Fav Song: The Californian
-Genre: Indie Rock / Emo
-1st Listen: 02/20/26
-A bright and cheerful album that fit perfectly after several days of coats and rain. 8/10

The Moon Seven Times - S/T (1993)
-Fav Song: This and That
-Genre: Dream Pop
-1st Listen: 02/15/26 & 12/24/25 (incomplete)
-Henry Frayne (guitar) and Lynn Cannfield (vocals) work perfectly together to create a beautiful soundscape without sacrificing lyricism and progression. Perfect for twilight drives. 8.5/10

link3 - On The Outline (2026)
-Fav Song: Renfrew Avenue
-Genre: Indie Pop / Indie Folk
-1st Listen: 02/05/26
-Brief, timeless acoustic songs reminscent of Sweet Trip, Dutch Interior, & Mojave 3. Fell asleep listening to it, both because it sounds like a lullaby and because each song sounds like the last. 7/10

rocket rules - Dearden's Number (2026)
-Fav Song: The Sweetest Thing
-Genre: Shoegaze / Indie Pop
-1st Listen: 01/29/26
-A carefully crafted record whose walls of sound don't overstay their welcome. She doesn't shy away from a proper vocal delivery either, especially when her peers are plagued by mediocre whisper-singing. Helped me lock in. 7/10

Asobi Seksu - S/T (2004)
-Fav Song: It's Too Late
-Genre: Dream Pop / Indie Rock
-1st Listen: 01/28/26
-Balances intimacy with outburts of youthful emotion. Yuki provides the highs and the lows while James counterbalances it with reservation and skillful guitarwork. Second album was an improvement though. 8.5/10

Jejune - This Afternoon's Malady (1998)
-Fav Song: Fixed On The One
-Genre: Emo / Indie Rock
-1st Listen: 01/24/26
-Combines the signature flair of emo songwriting with near-perfect harmonies and an impressive vocal delivery that stands out among peers like Endive & Everyone Asked About You. 8.5/10

Ian Matthews - Stealin' Home (1978)
-Fav Song: Gimme an Inch Girl
-Genre: Soft Rock / Folk-Rock
-1st Listen: 01/20/26
-Criminally underrated love songs that should be household names. Great driving music. 8/10

Crystal Canyon - Stars and Distant Light (2023)
-Fav Song: Penelopy, The Odyssey
-Genre: Shoegaze
-1st Listen: 01/08/26
-Tasteful and uptempo. Puts you in a trance that forces you to lay down and close your eyes. Do not drive and listen. You will zone out and crash. 8.5/10

Racecourse - July, December (2025)
-Fav Song: July, December
-Genre: Emo, Indie Rock
-1st Listen: 01/04/26
-Heard it when they had 2000 montly listeners, hoping they make it big. Beautiful emo(ish) music that blends a lot of genres well. No skips. 9/10

These are some of my favorite albums of all time:

The Cure - Disintegration (1989)
-Fav Song: Pictures of You
-Genre: Goth Rock, Post-Punk
-1st Listen: 01/10/24 (incomplete) & 09/??/2024
-Absolutely zero skips on this album. Every song is a work of art and they all hold special memories for me. 10/10

Slowdive - S/T (2017)
-Fav Song: Slomo
-Genre: Shoegaze
-1st Listen: 06/19/24
-Neil Halstead is goated. The production and songwriting on this album is insane. How do you even make a guitar sound like Slomo at 5:05? 10/10

Slowdive - Souvlaki (1993)
-Fav Song: When the Sun Hits
-Genre: Shoegaze
-1st Listen: 12/31/23
-I didn't even know it was a trend to like this stuff when I first heard it. Twin put me onto the song which got me into shoegaze. Which means I'm less of a poser than the girl who put me on. Suck it SAM. Also all hail Neil Halstead. 10/10

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - S/T (2009)
-Fav Song: All
-Genre: Noise Pop
-1st Listen: 04/30/25
-Incredibly nostalgic music. Basically my hiking soundtrack now. The lyrics of "This Love is Fucking Right" are a bit unfortunate but APPARENTLY it doesn't mean that. Anyways I'm casually obsessed with this band. 9.9/10

Coldplay - Viva La Vida (2008)
-Fav Song: Chinese Sleep Chant (Yes 4:05-7:06)
-Genre: Pop / Rock
-1st Listen: Between 2009 and 2015
-This stuff slapped in the car and still does. People hate this album for some reason but I'll defend it with my life. 9.7/10
